Counsellor Advocate

We are seeking two Case Workers to join our team in delivering quality professional counselling, support, accommodation, mediation and training services across the Perth Metro, Goldfields and Bunbury region.

• Complete intake and assessment of families and children to identify needs.
• Develop support plans with clients which identify individual goals.
• Provide practical supports and referrals to appropriate services.
• Assist with the development of family camps, women's groups and youth groups.
• Plan and participate in community events.
• Assist to write six monthly reports as directed by Program Manager.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Aboriginality as a genuine role requirement.
• Minimum Certificate IV in Community Services, Alcohol and Other Drugs, Mental Health or equivalent.
• Experience and knowledge working with Aboriginal individuals, families and communities.
• Experience in administration and case management.
• Experience living and working in a remote / regional community.
• Exhibit a client-centered, conscientious care approach.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• National Police Certificate.
