Safety Culture is seeking a seasoned engineering leader to drive technical excellence and innovation

We're looking for a strategic thinker who can lead our engineering team to deliver high-quality products that support our company's vision and mission. As a Director of Engineering, you will provide direct leadership to engineering managers and some engineers, partner with our People team to attract and engage top talent, and foster a collaborative, ambitious, and outcome-driven culture.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide continuous feedback, address underperformance, and recognize individual strengths and contributions of team members
  • Be responsible for high-quality and high-velocity execution of the engineering org
  • Identify, evaluate, and optimize processes to maximize efficiency
  • Unblock and push the team to hit deadlines
  • Anticipate strategic and scaling-related challenges and collaborate with the team to find the best scalable solution
  • Collaborate successfully with cross-functional partners, including product, support, and GTM
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of engineering leadership experience, including experience overseeing an engineering org of 20+
  • Strong record of hiring and developing great, diverse talent
  • Comfortable operating in an environment where you need to motivate teams by working both with managers and directly with engineers
  • Experience delivering and maintaining B2B web apps, with some consumer-facing product experience preferred
  • Strong sense of urgency to deliver results and inspire the team to achieve beyond what they think is possible
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • Enthusiastic about diving into the code and getting your hands dirty when needed
  • Strong technical mastery in software engineering but remains curious and committed to learning and improving their craft
