About the Role

Talent International is seeking a seasoned Enterprise Architect to join our client, a state government department, for an initial 9-month contract with strong potential for extensions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Alignment & Governance: Develop and maintain the enterprise architecture strategy, ensuring it aligns with organizational objectives. Establish and enforce architectural principles and standards, enhancing governance across the ICT department.
  • Technology Roadmap & Innovation: Create and manage the ICT technology roadmap, identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement. Evaluate emerging technologies and champion their adoption to boost operational efficiency.
  • Solution Architecture & Risk Management: Lead the development of solution architecture aligned with enterprise principles. Identify and manage architectural risks, ensuring secure and compliant solutions.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Capability Development: Engage with key stakeholders to articulate the value of enterprise architecture. Oversee the development of technical architecture activities, fostering continuous improvement.
  • Performance Monitoring & Change Management: Define KPIs for the enterprise architecture function and monitor effectiveness. Lead the architectural aspects of ICT change initiatives, ensuring seamless transitions and alignment with strategic objectives.

Desirable Skills and Knowledge:

  • Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge and experience with enterprise architecture frameworks and methodologies, including SFIA competencies.

  • Innovation & Problem Solving: Proven track record of identifying and implementing innovative technology solutions.
  • Governance & Risk Management: Experience in establishing governance frameworks and effectively managing architectural risks.

  • Change Management: Experience managing and implementing change initiatives with minimal disruption to operations.
