Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice on a wide range of employment issues, including workplace disputes, discrimination, contract negotiations, and compliance with employment laws.
  • Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings.
  • Draft and review employment contracts, policies, and procedures.
  • Conduct workplace investigations and advise on risk management strategies.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in employment law and ensure clients are informed of relevant developments.
  • Achieve all billable targets.
  • Mentor junior lawyers and graduates on PLT.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on complex cases and contribute to a team-oriented environment.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in employment law, preferably from a private practice background.
  • Approved unrestricted practicing license in Queensland.
  • Track record of achieving goals and targets in employment law.
  • Good attitude and passion for employment law.
  • Ability to work self-sufficiently and as part of a team.
