Occupational Therapist Role

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Early Psychosis Programme, a multi-disciplinary Community Mental Health Team providing specialist treatment to young people at risk of or experiencing psychosis.

About the Position:

An ideal candidate will have experience in mental health, rehabilitation of consumers with mental health conditions, and provision of care on individualised journeys to recovery. The successful applicant will work collaboratively as part of a dynamic team to provide specialist treatment to clients aged 14-25 years.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy interventions to support clients' recovery from mental health conditions.
  • Conduct assessments to identify client needs and develop individualised plans for care and support.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support services are provided.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of occupational therapy interventions and make recommendations for service improvements.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Current registration as an Occupational Therapist with the relevant professional association.
  • Postgraduate qualification in Occupational Therapy or related field (e.g. Master's degree).
  • Experience working in mental health settings, preferably with young people.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment.
