Occupational Therapist Role Overview

This Occupational Therapist role is an exciting opportunity to join our team of healthcare professionals delivering high-quality services to individuals in the community.

Job Description:

As an Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for managing an allocated caseload and providing therapeutic services to participants. Your duties will include assessing participants' emotional, psychological, cognitive, developmental, and physical levels of function and capacity through clinical observations and standardised assessments.

You will interpret findings to formulate treatment goals tailored to each participant and provide evidence-based interventions to promote independence and improve their quality of life.

  • Assessing participants' functional abilities and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Developing and implementing individualised treatment plans to meet participants' needs.
  • Providing education and support to participants, families, and carers on strategies for maintaining independence and promoting participation in daily activities.
Key Requirements:
  • Current registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, interpersonal).
  • Strong time management and organisational skills for managing a varied caseload.
