Associate Mechanical Engineer, Water Infrastructure Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our Water Sector team in Australia and New Zealand. As an Associate Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in providing consultancy and engineering services to our clients in the water market.
Your primary responsibilities will include leading the mechanical design of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, managing moderately complex projects, and mentoring junior staff. You will also be responsible for fostering strong client relationships, driving business development, and identifying new opportunities.
We are looking for a talented engineer with strong technical knowledge and experience in design of mechanical assets, including pumping stations, water and wastewater treatment plants, and desalination plants. You should have excellent project management skills, be able to manage multi-discipline design projects, and conduct project reporting.
In addition to your technical expertise, you should have strong business acumen, be able to understand business drivers and commercial responsibilities, and have experience in calculations and design relating to water pumps selection, sludge pumping, chemical dosing, tank sizing, compressed air, etc.
