This role is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). The successful candidate will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
The Registered Nurse in the PICU engages in reflective and analytical practice through effective assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of direct person-centred care. This includes developing skills and knowledge from graduate to highly skilled Registered Nurse.
Patient Care Focus- Providing safe and compassionate clinical care to patients in the PICU
- Developing and implementing individualized care plans
The Registered Nurse works collaboratively with the healthcare team to achieve best practice patient outcomes. This includes:
- Maintaining open communication with colleagues and other healthcare professionals
- Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings and collaborations
The PICU provides opportunities for professional development and growth, including:
