Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Power Systems Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for software sales, onboarding new users and developing features which require power systems engineering knowledge.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute directly to a product which is helping solve global grid interconnection challenges.

  • Meet with potential customers to understand their challenges, demonstrate our capability, respond to technical sales questions and close sales opportunities.
  • Onboard and train new customers to ensure they get the most from our software platform.
  • Meet with existing customers to deeply understand their challenges and opportunities. Create defined scopes of work for the software engineering team based on these customer discussions.
  • Support the software engineering team when they have power systems engineering questions or need features tested.
  • Provide technical support for projects across different regions and adapt the platform to different grid codes around the world.
  • You will be required to travel for work, up to 10% of the time.
Requirements
  • Electrical engineering and power systems experience.
  • Experience engaging with clients or stakeholders in a technical capacity, ideally including B2B sales or technical pre-sales.
  • Experience using power systems simulation software such as PSSE, PSCAD and PowerFactory.
  • Experience with grid codes such as the NER, WEM Rules and G99.
  • Control systems experience.
