We are seeking an experienced data engineer to join our team in designing, building and maintaining scalable data pipelines and architectures.
You will lead the integration of data sources, optimize ETL processes, and ensure the quality and reliability of data across the organization.
As a senior member of the team, you will provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate closely with architects, analysts and business stakeholders to deliver data-driven solutions that enable informed decision-making.
Main Responsibilities- Data Pipeline Design: Design and develop scalable data pipelines for large-scale data ingestion, transformation, and delivery.
- Integration of Data Sources: Integrate diverse data sources to create unified, accessible datasets for analytics and business insights.
- Robust Data Engineering Solutions: Architect and implement robust data engineering solutions that are secure, efficient, and maintainable.
- Automated Workflows: Automate data workflows using modern tools and scripting languages (e.g. Python, APIs).
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor the performance of data systems, identify inefficiencies, and implement enhancements.
- Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering or related field.
- Over 10 years of hands-on experience in data engineering, analytics, and machine learning environments.
- Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
- Proficient in designing and managing ETL/ELT processes across multiple systems.
- Solid understanding of data modeling and database architecture.
- Experience with cloud data platforms (Azure preferred), including Azure Data Factory.
- Proficiency in using Snowflake or similar modern data warehousing platforms.
- Experience working with Git or similar version control systems.
