The Retail Team Lead role involves guiding, mentoring and assisting a team in delivering exceptional services to customers. The team is responsible for ensuring the highest levels of cleanliness, safety, food safety and waste management throughout the stores.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create effective work schedules/rosters and ensure punctuality among team members.
  • Manage procurement of necessary supplies within allocated funds.
  • Evaluate team members based on key metrics and provide constructive feedback for growth opportunities.
  • Foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including department managers, customers and local community members.

Requirements:

  • Experience in leadership or management.
  • A keen eye for cleanliness and attention to detail.
  • Ability to engage with Department Managers and Store Leadership Team to synchronize schedules and deadlines.
  • Organizational skills to ensure team has necessary equipment and consumables for safe and effective work.
  • Comfortable working within regulated frameworks (Food Safety, industrial regulations, code of conduct etc.).
  • Ability to include cleaning responsibilities as part of the role, such as shop floor, fridges, freezers, carparks etc.
