Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated data scientist to join our team. As a data scientist, you will be responsible for applying advanced analytical techniques to complex datasets, developing strategic economic advice, and monitoring program performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Collection and Management: Design and conduct surveys to collect first-hand information, develop administrative data, and establish data management policies.
  • Performance Reporting and Program Evaluation: Apply advanced analytical techniques to integrated datasets to gain insights into policy problems or evaluate program performance.
  • Compliance and Assurance: Monitor program performance and protect government outlays using cutting-edge techniques and visualisations.
  • Economics: Develop strategic economic advice through analysing economic and financial data.

Requirements:

  • An Australian citizen or will be by 1 October 2026.
  • Completed university degree within the last five years or final year of study with all course requirements completed.
  • Prepared to obtain and maintain baseline security clearance.
