Gilmour Space Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Senior Avionics Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Avionics Engineer, you will play a key role in the development and implementation of our Avionics systems, ensuring the highest level of quality and reliability.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the design, development, and testing of Avionics systems and sub-systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of Avionics systems with other spacecraft systems
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and technical reports
- Conduct technical assessments and provide recommendations for the improvement of Avionics systems and processes
- Lead and participate in technical discussions and meetings with internal and external stakeholders
- Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Computer Systems, or Mechatronics Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in professional Avionics design engineering settings
- 3+ years of end-to-end Avionics product development experience
- NV1 Security Clearance eligible
- Demonstrated resilience in high-stress situations
- Experience in PCB development of analogue, digital, and mixed-signal circuits
- Experience with hands-on testing, troubleshooting, and debugging electronics
- Experience with bare-metal, RTOS, and embedded Linux software development
- Experience with FPGA/SoC hardware and software development
- Experience with mechanical design software (NX, Solidworks, Onshape)
