The Dining Room under Dining by James Viles is a signature restaurant of Park Hyatt Sydney, and we are looking for a Restaurant Manager who is eager to further their career with Australia's award-winning hotel.

As a passionate Assistant Manager, you will focus on exceptional guest experience and bring your management skills and engaging personality to our signature restaurant. Led by James Viles, a respected chef and author, whose menu inspiration stems from the finest regional and coastal ingredients of Australia and a vision and dedication to sustainability. The Dining Room by James Viles aims to become one of Sydney's food and drink destinations for tourists and locals alike.

About the Role
  • You will assist the Restaurant Manager to ensure that The Dining Room operates successfully and in accordance with brand standards.
  • You will work closely with other Outlet Managers in a supportive and flexible manner, focusing on the overall success of the hotel and the satisfaction of guests.
  • You will maintain positive guest and colleague interactions with good working relationships.
  • You will handle guest inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner and report guest complaints or problems to supervisors if there is no immediate solution and assure follow-up with guests.
  • You will have full working knowledge and capability to supervise, correct, and demonstrate all duties and tasks in the assigned place of work to the set standards.
  • You will assist in onboarding new associates.
  • You will maximize the effectiveness of employees by developing each of their skills and abilities through appropriate training, coaching, and/or mentoring.
