Painting and Decorating Specialist

This is a skilled trade role working in the painting industry, where we are seeking a highly motivated individual with strong work ethic and a passion for painting.

  • Coordinate painting projects and complete touch-ups.
  • Erect scaffolding and staging to access difficult areas.
  • Work on ladders to reach high ceilings or walls.
  • Protect areas not to be painted and remove fixtures prior to painting.
  • Remove old paint and wallpaper, clean walls and prepare surfaces for painting.
  • Follow specifications for mixing paints and select finishes.
Requirements and Skills
  • At least 3 years of work experience in a related field.
  • Passion for painting and a willingness to learn.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work well within a team.
  • Physical stamina to handle demands of job, including standing, bending, lifting and work at heights.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
