Job Description

As a Senior Engineering Leader, you will play a crucial role in driving the success of our team by leading and supporting your team members towards achieving their objectives. This involves introducing design changes to systems under your responsibility, investigating in-service issues, providing engineering support to the production line, and working with stakeholders to establish plans for emerging projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support your team members towards achieving the objectives set for the group.
  • Establish and maintain governance covering the engineering team's activities, being able to uncover challenges to address.
  • Support the Propulsion Knowledge Owner and Fellow in defining the Powerplant Knowledge Domain strategy and ensuring the associated plan gets realized.
  • Keep developing the team members under your responsibility, helping them with defining their development plan and supporting them with realizing it.
  • Ensure adequate engineering resources are allocated in support of current and future projects per budget and schedule.
  • Hold performance reviews with team members and represent the team during management-level reviews.

Required Skills and Qualifications

You have at least a bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering from a recognized University. You also possess minimum 10 years of relevant work experience within the scope of our activities. Strong technical competencies in propulsion systems engineering, good people leadership skills, organizational abilities, and demonstrated project management capabilities are essential for this role.
