Plastics Manufacturing Technician

PACT Group is a leading plastics recycler in Australia, committed to providing sustainable packaging solutions. Our Greenfields facility is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, producing high-quality rHDPE resin from post-consumer HDPE/PP waste.
**Job Overview:**
We are seeking a skilled Plastics Manufacturing Technician to join our team on a full-time roster basis. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our extrusion equipment, maintaining product quality, and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- To operate and maintain the extrusion equipment in accordance with established procedures and guidelines, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing downtime.
- To inspect and test products to ensure they meet quality standards, identifying and reporting any defects or issues.
- To participate in training programs and workshops to develop skills and knowledge in areas such as Quality, WHSE, and Maintenance.
- To contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork and open communication among colleagues.
- To adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, reporting any hazards or incidents promptly.
- To assist in achieving operational targets, including productivity and efficiency goals.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience working in plastics manufacturing, preferably in an extrusion environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to learn new processes quickly.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, with a strong understanding of WHSE procedures and protocols.

Salary:$60,000 - $80,000 per annum (dependent on experience) + superannuation and benefits package.
