This is a well-established and reputable Australian-owned company specializing in renewable energy development, construction, and operation. The organization has a multi-GW pipeline and a growing DER project portfolio.

Your New Role

You will play a crucial role in the success of industrial-scale solar and BESS projects, focusing on high-voltage aspects from design to commissioning. Key responsibilities include:

  • Design and Planning: Develop HV design packages that align with project specifications and integration requirements;
  • Compliance and Standards: Ensure adherence to relevant Australian Standards and industry practices for HV systems;
  • Strategic Planning and Execution: Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute engineering strategy, identifying new project opportunities and technological advancements;
  • Technical Leadership: Provide guidance on emerging technologies and ensure the feasibility and sustainability of engineering solutions;
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with colleagues to understand needs and provide effective engineering solutions;
  • Consultant Engagement: Manage consultant relationships and scopes to deliver design, reports, and reviews of engineering and commissioning work streams.

Key Requirements

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Minimum 10 years of engineering experience;
  • Experience in managing a high-performing multidisciplinary team;
  • Comprehensive knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards;
  • Experience in renewable energy solutions, including PV design & engineering;
  • Familiarity with NEM grid connection requirements, including the National Electricity Rules and relevant AEMO / NSP requirements;
  • Expertise in generating electrical, civil, geospatial, and mechanical drafting and engineering;
  • Familiarity with Australian/New Zealand standards for electrical systems and competence in industry-standard power systems and renewable energy software;
  • Proficiency in electrical engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, PSCAD, ETAP).
