Principal Tailings Engineer

We are seeking a seasoned engineering professional to lead innovative projects in civil, geotechnical, and tailings dam design. This role is ideal for an individual with experience in project management, proposal support, and technical report writing.

About the Role
  • Civil/Geotechnical/Tailings dam design and geotechnical analyses using various software packages.
  • Understanding of tailing deposition modeling and development of instrumentation monitoring systems.
Responsibilities
  • Project/task management, proposal support, and preparation of engineering reports, design calculations, drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Client development and business growth through practice-centered business and continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in civil or geotechnical engineering or related field (required).
  • Advanced degree preferred, as well as professional registration and Engineer of Record (EoR) certification.
  • Minimum 8 years (10+ preferred) of relevant experience in consulting or equivalent, with knowledge of geotechnical engineering software and numerical modeling tools.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple projects, meet deadlines, and travel as needed.
  • Excellent communication skills and valid Australian driver's license with good driving record.
