Dental Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Dental Assistant to join our team in Toowoomba.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing patients and facilities for dental treatment, delivering quality chairside assistance to our dentists, and maintaining infection control standards and procedures.

You will also be responsible for greeting patients, booking and amending appointments, answering the phone, and updating patient records.

In addition, you will make patients aware of dental services and offers, handle payments, and access sensitive information while maintaining patient confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparation and Maintenance: Prepare patients and facilities for dental treatment, maintain infection control standards and procedures.
  • Patient Care: Deliver quality chairside assistance to our dentists, greet patients, book and amend appointments.
  • Administrative Tasks: Answer the phone, update patient records, handle payments.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 1+ years' experience working in a similar role
  • Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Motivated self-starter able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Passionate about customer service and patient care
