PhD Research Position in Health Policy Evaluation

The PhD research opportunity focuses on assessing the impact of preventative health policies on current and future health disparities.

Preventative Health Initiatives

Interventions of interest include, but are not limited to: screening programs, vaccination, lifestyle modifications, and preventative medication.

Analysis Methods

Analysis will utilize best practice in health disparities measurement, modern econometric techniques, behavioral experiments, and modeling.

  • Evaluation of existing health prevention programs
  • Development of a measurement tool for health disparities
  • Behavioral experiments to assess uptake and adherence
  • Modeling of future health disparities
Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Conducting a thorough review of existing literature on health policy evaluation
  • Designing and implementing a study to evaluate the impact of preventative health policies
  • Analyzing data using advanced statistical techniques
  • Presenting findings to academic and professional audiences
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this position, applicants should possess:

  • A doctoral degree in a relevant field (e.g. public health, health policy, economics)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with advanced statistical software (e.g. R, Stata)
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
