Job Description

The successful candidate will work as part of a dynamic team to ensure accurate and efficient decanting operations, maintaining high standards of quality, safety and productivity.

We are looking for a skilled Decanter with a strong attention to detail to join our production team. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating decanting equipment, handling bulk materials and ensuring the highest level of quality control.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Setting up and running decanting stations in accordance with production schedules
  • Performing tasks including IBC and drum changes, scales operation, pump speed control and manual handling of containers weighing 8kg - 20kg
  • Labelling containers and pallets according to product specifications
  • Understand and implement production documentation, including production works orders, bills of materials and single point lessons

Responsibilities:

  1. Set up and run decanting stations in SDA and SDA Flam
  2. Perform tasks including IBC and drum changes, scales operation, pump speed control, and manual handling of containers weighing 8kg - 20kg
  3. Labelling containers and pallets according to product specifications
  4. Understand and implement production documentation, including production works orders, bills of materials, and single point lessons
  5. Calculate fill weights considering specific gravity of bulk material
  6. Packing cartons, pallet boxes and pallets according to production works order specifications
  7. Maximise productivity from all process equipment by minimising downtime and waste
  8. Monitor, control and record information on paper and electronic systems
  9. Use lifting and handling equipment including drum changers and pallet trucks
  10. Contribute to continuous improvement projects
