Lead Instructor Role

The Lead Instructor is a senior role within our training organization. This position reports directly to the Manager Training Capability and is responsible for mentoring, succession planning, and professional development of all training capability employees.

This role will serve as the primary point of contact for the Training Centre Manager and Chief Instructors in relation to instructional training delivery and associated workplace safety matters.

The successful candidate will be based across the Sydney Region, responsible for Randwick Barracks and Waterhen as well as Homebush Head Office when required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality training services meeting contracted obligations
  • Drive business efficiency and productivity while maintaining quality and safety standards
  • Promote and execute our Quality Management System
  • Manage customer feedback and satisfaction
Requirements:
  • Tertiary education in a related field or relevant work experience
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE 40116/40122)
  • Strong experience and knowledge in Approach to Defence Learning (SADL) and Instructional Systems Design
  • Prior experience managing instructors in an ADF technical training centre

Security Clearance:

The successful candidate must be eligible for SECRET (NV1) level Defence security clearance and preferably already hold a current clearance.
