About the Role
G4S Australia is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team at Mount Gambier Prison. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality healthcare services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake clinical assessments on clients, including taking blood, checking blood pressure, temperature checks, dipstick tests, checking bowel sounds, urinalysis, and more.
- Issue medication, including insulin and methadone, in accordance with established protocols.
- Provide wound care and assist with work-related injuries.
- Collaborate with our onsite GP to provide comprehensive healthcare services.
- Respond to unexpected events, such as reported chest pain.
Requirements
- A completed Bachelor of Nursing degree.
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Registration Agency (AHPRA).
- Previous experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Based in Mount Gambier or willing to relocate to the area.
- Holder of professional indemnity insurance or willing to obtain before commencement.
- Holder of first aid and CPR certification or willing to obtain before commencement.
