Senior Mental Health Professional Role

The Perinatal and Infant Mental Health Service is a dedicated multidisciplinary team providing specialist mental health support to women experiencing moderate to severe mental health concerns during pregnancy and the first year of their baby's life.

As a senior clinician, you will lead the delivery of evidence-based strengths-focused recovery-oriented assessment and treatment within a multi-disciplinary team. You will carry a clinical caseload, appropriate to the needs of the service.

You will work collaboratively with consumers families and service providers to support mental health and wellbeing during the perinatal period. You will also play a key role in service development quality improvement initiatives and multidisciplinary collaboration across the district and broader community sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead mentorship and supervision to a multi-disciplinary team
  • Carry a clinical caseload appropriate to the needs of the service
  • Work collaboratively with consumers families and service providers to support mental health and wellbeing during the perinatal period
  • Contribute to service development quality improvement initiatives and multidisciplinary collaboration across the district and broader community sector
Requirements:
  • Relevant qualification registration in one of the disciplines Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 Clinical Psychologist Occupational Therapist Level 3 Senior Psychologist Social Worker Level 3
  • Experience working collaboratively with consumers families and service providers
  • Ability to provide education and skills training to support recovery
  • Capacity to advocate for consumers within a multidisciplinary team setting
