About the Position:

We are seeking a skilled Credit Analyst Leader to join our team at BeathChapman Pte Ltd. As a key member of the Credit Risk Management team, you will play a critical role in evaluating creditworthiness and guiding the credit approval process.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform credit analysis and risk assessments on large value lending transactions, working closely with the Corporate Banking and Risk Management teams.
  2. Develop recommendations and comments on credit submissions to the local Credit Committee, ensuring alignment with the bank's risk policy and procedures.
  3. Review credit proposals for new and existing loans, managing portfolio restructuring and variation as required.
  4. Monitor the post-approval loan drawdown process, identifying and mitigating potential risks.
  5. Conduct industry research and provide insightful feedback to the Corporate Banking and Risk Management team, informing strategic business decisions.
  6. Liaise with the Credit Risk Management team in Head Office overseas to ensure compliance with the bank's risk policy and procedures.
  7. Update and refine the bank's Credit Policy and Procedures for its Australian operation, ensuring they remain aligned with regulatory requirements.
  8. Coordinate and assist with local regulatory reviews, audits, and Head Office reviews, maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders.
  9. Prepare meeting and presentation materials for the Credit Committee, effectively communicating key information.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years' experience in credit risk management in commercial or corporate banking, preferably with international exposure.
  • Strong knowledge of the credit approval process and ability to critically analyse company financials.
  • Familiarity with prudential standards (CPS 220 etc.) and regulatory environment where a foreign ADI operates.
  • Tertiary degree in Finance, Commerce, Accounting, Business, or related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and autonomously, with professionalism and efficiency.
  • A team player and effective communicator, able to adapt to the work culture.
  • Qualifications such as CFA, CPA, or FRM are highly regarded, but not essential.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak Chinese Mandarin.
