Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project Financial Controller to join our team in Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing financials for approval, communicating effectively with project stakeholders, and ensuring accurate budgeting and forecasting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Prepare and analyze financial statements, forecasts, and budgets to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Project Accounting: Manage project costs, track expenses, and ensure timely payment to subcontractors.
  • Financial Reporting: Provide regular financial reports to project managers and stakeholders, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement.
  • Contract Management: Review and negotiate contracts to ensure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring accurate forecasting and minimizing financial risks.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies, identifying and mitigating potential risks.

Requirements

  • Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field; CA/CPA/CIMA qualified desirable.
  • Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience in project accounting, preferably in the transportation or defense sectors.
  • Skills: Advanced Excel skills, proficiency in SAP and Primavera, excellent communication and organizational skills.

Salary and Benefits

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary package, estimated at AU$90,000 - AU$120,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additional benefits include access to professional development opportunities, a comprehensive health insurance plan, and a generous superannuation scheme.
