Job Summary:

The successful candidate will lead the development of program and project governance practices and ways of working across the organization.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Developing capabilities to meet strategic goals.
  • Establishing and managing a centralized system for program and project management.
  • Fostering an inclusive, customer-focused culture and providing operational leadership.
  • Managing and coaching leaders and professionals.
  • Implementing a standardized project governance framework based on project size and risk.
  • Leading the establishment, coordination, and management of a service review program.
  • Designing and implementing standardised reporting systems across all PMOs that generate dashboards for monitoring and effective reports.
  • Managing stakeholder needs to ensure department priorities are met and services provided to customers meet expectations.
  • Optimizing resource allocation within the PMO for efficient utilization across priority projects.
  • Implementing robust mechanisms to track project performance and present regular updates to executive leadership.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated experience in leading large, complex projects to quality outputs, within tight deadlines and budget.

Essential Requirements:

  • A degree in Project Management, Business, or a related field, along with significant professional experience in Project/Program Management.
  • Senior leadership experience in leading a Program Management Office.
  • Demonstrated project management experience with the ability to lead large, complex projects to quality outputs, within tight deadlines and budget.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience in establishing project reporting systems and in planning and delivering service review projects.
  • Proven people management skills to support, influence, and foster a productive team culture.
  • Excellent negotiation, writing, presentation, and public speaking skills to influence stakeholders and achieve support for department outcomes.
  • Well-developed problem-solving and stakeholder management skills with the ability to build cooperation and partnerships.
  • Proven track record of leading teams through change, ensuring strong stakeholder engagement throughout the process.
  • Demonstrated skills in business planning and management, financial and resource management, and complex reporting in accordance with strategic goals and KPIs.
  • Experience in utilizing project management software tools.
