Job Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work in a team responsible for the development, review and interpretation of financial management policy and legislation.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide advice on financial management policy, regulation and reporting issues to stakeholders within the organisation and across government entities.
  • Work in a small policy project team responsible for the development, review and interpretation of financial management policy and legislation.
  • Proactively assist the team in providing advice to government and entities on public sector financial management regulatory matters, such as financial management policy guidelines, standards and legislation.
About You / Qualifications

We are seeking a capable and motivated individual, experienced in financial management policy development, review and interpretation, to join our finance team on an 18-month fixed term basis.

  • Experience analysing, interpreting and providing advice on financial management legislation and policy frameworks.
  • Experience in managing financial policy projects.
  • A strong desire to develop your skills, experience and judgement.
  • A willingness to take on a range of responsibilities and tasks.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

You will be expected to undertake research and analysis of financial management policies, guidelines, standards, legislation and instructions for entities within the general government sector.
