Steam Turbine Specialist

This is a critical role for a skilled Mechanical Fitter who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
About the RoleThis casual position involves working on DIDO outages located at Tarong Power Station, near Kingaroy, QLD.
The project will commence in mid-September and run until mid-November, with staggered start dates.
Shifts will be Monday to Saturday, consisting of 11-hour days and nights.
Rates of pay will include EBA rates of $66.84 per hour, plus 25% casual loading and OT penalties.
LAFHA or accommodation will be provided to distant workers.
Candidates should have previous outage and project experience in the power generation or heavy industrial sector.
Technical skills in working with steam turbines and valves are essential, including inspection and measurement of critical components.
A team-oriented individual with well-developed communication skills is required.
Strong commitment to workplace safety and wellbeing is necessary.
Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade or equivalent is a must.
Candidates must also hold valid tickets, including confined spaces, working at heights, construction white card, and rights to work in Australia.
The successful candidate will be responsible for disassembling, inspecting, and reassembling steam turbines and valves, as well as working with auxiliary systems, interpreting technical drawings, and ensuring precise alignment and safety compliance.
