Job Description

As a Registered Nurse in our Alcohol and Other Drugs team, you will have the opportunity to work with individuals who are seeking assistance with alcohol and drug use.

Your primary responsibilities will include providing person-centred care, employing an individualised, holistic approach to address the diverse physical, emotional, and social aspects of each person's journey.

You will also be responsible for practicing and promoting safe, efficient, and effective nursing care that reflects current standards of nursing practices and current Mid North Coast Local Health District policies and procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • A current Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
  • Demonstrated experience and ability in assessment and management of substance use disorders and management of withdrawal states.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of contemporary opioid substitution treatments and regulation related to opioid treatment programs.
  • Understanding of management of clients with complex needs in the community setting.
