The Role
">This role involves working closely with participants, families, and stakeholders to develop and implement Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plans. The ideal candidate will have a background in behaviour support, psychology, social work, disability, mental health, or related fields.
- Comprehensive Behavioural Support: Conduct functional behaviour assessments and develop tailored PBS plans aligned with best practices.
- Person-Centred Interventions: Implement evidence-based strategies that reduce harmful behaviours while minimising restrictive practices.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work collaboratively with participants, families, and support teams to ensure holistic, strengths-based interventions.
- Professional Growth: Receive ongoing mentorship and professional development, with clear career pathways towards senior and leadership roles.
- Compliance & Reporting: Ensure all documentation aligns with NDIS Commission guidelines and practice standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications
">To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Experience: A background in behaviour support, psychology, social work, disability, mental health, or related fields.
- Skills in Assessment & Intervention: Ability to conduct psychosocial and functional behaviour assessments and develop effective PBS plans.
- Excellent Communication: Strong verbal and written skills, with the ability to build trust with participants, families, and professionals.
- Understanding of NDIS Compliance: Awareness of NDIS Behaviour Support and Restrictive Practices guidelines.
- Commitment to Best Practice: A focus on ethical, evidence-based interventions that prioritise participant well-being.
- Driver's License & Reliable Transport: This role requires community-based work across various locations.
