Role OverviewWe have an exciting opportunity for a diligent, technically-minded insurance professional to join our team as an Account Executive. In this role, you will support our Managing Director in managing a growing portfolio of clients, providing both administrative and broking support for new and existing clients.
You will handle the end-to-end insurance process – from obtaining quotes for new business and processing renewals to assisting with claims – in an environment where accuracy and timeliness are paramount.
You will also collaborate with a small, dedicated team to deliver high-quality outcomes for our clients and contribute to the continued growth of the business.
We specialise in tailored insurance solutions for small and medium-sized enterprises across various industries. Built on a foundation of diligence and transparency, we form long-term, authentic relationships with our clients.
Key Responsibilities- New Business: Obtain quotes from the insurance market for new business opportunities and prepare comprehensive new business reports for clients.
- Renewals: Prepare and issue renewal declarations in a timely manner ahead of policy expiries. Obtain renewal terms from insurers, re-market policies when necessary, and compile detailed renewal reports.
- Policy Administration: Process policy changes and endorsements, and issue Certificates of Currency promptly to clients.
- Client Follow-ups: Follow up with clients on outstanding premium payments (debtors) and collect Actual Remuneration Declarations, processing any necessary adjustments to policies.
- Premium Funding: Coordinate premium funding arrangements and ensure smooth administration of financed policies.
- Claims Support: Assist clients with insurance claims, including lodging new claims quickly and regularly following up on ongoing claims to ensure proper resolution.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years' experience in an Account Executive or Assistant Account Executive role within the insurance broking industry.
- Technical Skills: High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general computer skills.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
- Organisation: Strong organisational abilities and keen attention to detail, ensuring accurate and quality work.
- Work Ethic: Outstanding work ethic and a strong sense of accountability, demonstrating professionalism and reliability.
- Team Player: Cooperative and supportive team player who thrives on delivering timely, high-quality results.
