Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert medical care to patients with cardiac conditions, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of cardiovascular diseases.
  • Conduct research in cardiology, including clinical trials, observational studies, and basic science research.
  • Develop and implement clinical guidelines and protocols for the management of cardiovascular diseases.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, and primary care physicians, to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Participate in education and training programs for medical students, residents, and fellows.

Requirements:

  • Hold Specialist registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
  • Meet credentialing requirements and receive an Endorsed scope of clinical practice from the Medical Dental Appointments Advisory Committee (MDAAC).
  • Undergo a pre-employment National Police Check.
  • Comply with Canberra Health Services Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination policy.
