About Us

Busways is a leading transport company with over 80 years of experience in delivering quality customer service and stakeholder engagement. We operate bus services contracts for Transport for NSW and the South Australian Public Transport Authority.

Salary and Benefits

As a Bus Operator with Busways, you can expect to earn an estimated salary of $41.41 per hour during weekdays, with opportunities to earn up to $95.58 per hour on public holidays. You will also receive a comprehensive paid training program, overtime opportunities, and access to our Employee Assistance Program.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful as a Bus Operator, you will need a current and valid Medium Rigid or above driver's licence, a good driving history, strong communication and customer service skills, and willingness to undergo pre-employment medical checks and working with children checks.

Working Conditions

You will be required to work various shifts, including weekends, early morning, and late-night shifts. A large portion of shifts available for full-time drivers are worked as split shifts, requiring you to work between 6:00am to 10:00am and 2:00pm to 6:00pm.
