Senior Educator Job Description

Job Summary:


We are seeking a qualified and experienced Senior Educator to join our team. As a Senior Educator, you will be responsible for leading a classroom and implementing the educational program.


Responsibilities:


  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment for children, families, and team members.
  • Lead a classroom effectively with passion and enthusiasm, engaging with educators, families, and children to implement the educational program.
  • Utilize and implement the Goodstart Practice Guide to deliver high-quality education and practice in collaboration with the Education Leader.
  • Comply with National Quality Standards (NQS) and Goodstart Policies, Procedures, and Requirements.
  • Contribute to delivering the centre and business plans.

Requirements:


  • Diploma in Early Childhood Education.
  • Current Working with Children Check and First Aid qualification.
  • Strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards.
  • Able to lead a classroom effectively, engaging with educators, families, and children to implement the educational program.
  • Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with children and families.
  • Support a culture of reflective practice and continuous improvement.
  • Seek and share best practice examples to improve the education program.
  • Maintain a safe environment for children, families, and team members.
