Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Structural Design Engineer to join our team in Mackay. As a key member of our team, you will work on a range of mining, ports, and transport infrastructure remediation design projects, utilizing your expertise in structural analysis and design.
Key Responsibilities- Work on ongoing critical projects with a focus on safety and quality, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Design and analyze structural systems, including concrete and steelwork, using computer-based analysis software packages.
- Act as the primary client contact for specific projects, providing exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Conduct condition assessments, audits, and surveys to identify potential structural issues and develop remediation plans.
- Liaise with staff members in other offices to ensure seamless project delivery and collaboration.
- Perform other tasks as allocated by senior staff, contributing to the growth and success of the company.
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of industry experience, preferably in a consulting or client-side role.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software packages, such as SpaceGass and Strand7.
- Strong knowledge and experience in structural design, analysis, client/stakeholder management, and project delivery.
- Understanding and experience working on major construction projects.
- Hold or be working towards CP Eng and RPEQ certifications.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Willingness to travel for site inspections in remote locations.
- Current residency in Australia.
- Experience with Cathodic Protection design and durability engineering, particularly in marine, mobile machines, bulk materials handling, or shafts/tunnel assets.
