Senior Engineering Business Development Manager for ANZ/VIC Region

To further strengthen our teams, we are seeking an exceptional candidate for the position of Senior Engineering Business Development Manager for the ANZ/VIC region.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in business development and bid management within the local construction and engineering industry.
A strong understanding of the engineering aspects of underground engineering, geotechnical, structural, or energy/hydropower disciplines, as well as excellent communication and negotiation skills, is essential.
Proficiency in proposal writing and a Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field are highly preferred.
This role may require travel to client locations as needed.
Key Responsibilities:- Identify and develop new business opportunities in civil engineering, focusing on underground engineering and associated disciplines.
- Collaborate with the Senior Management Team to research market trends, government funding, emerging technologies, and potential clients.
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, designers, and industry professionals to cultivate business opportunities.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking meetings.
- Work closely with technical teams to ensure technical expertise and business development alignment.
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with new and existing clients.
- Maintain regular communication with clients, providing project updates and addressing concerns.
- Identify opportunities for additional services to existing clients.
- Collect feedback to enhance service offerings and improve operational efficiency.
- Monitor and identify potential bid opportunities aligned with the company's areas of expertise.
- Gather information from technical teams to develop comprehensive bid proposals.
- Ensure compliance with client requirements, industry regulations, and applicable standards.
- Leverage network connections to gain insights into client preferences and competitive landscape.
- Lead bid presentations and negotiations, effectively communicating the company's value proposition.
- Maintain a database of past bids, tracking success rates and analyzing areas for improvement.
Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, based on industry standards and regional location.
