Job Summary

We're on the lookout for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team in the WT Sydney office. This role will perform various traditional quantity surveying functions including estimating, planning and cost management, cost monitoring, and accurate and timely financial reporting whilst exercising sound financial acumen with a key focus on proactively maximising value for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaise with clients, architects and main contractors to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Identify and facilitate new business opportunities to drive growth and revenue.
  • Develop and manage cost plans, budgets and cash flow projections to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Conduct tender evaluations and analysis to ensure best value for our clients.
  • Prepare and present cost reports, valuations and final account reports to clients.
  • Manage and negotiate claims and variations to ensure timely and cost-effective resolution.
  • Develop and implement benchmarking processes to improve the consistency, accuracy and time to prepare cost models and plans.
Requirements
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
  • Full Australian working rights and currently located in Australia.
  • RICS / AIQS accreditation highly regarded.
  • Proficient in the use of Cost X.
  • Thorough understanding of the total project life cycle, from conception through to completion and post-project review.
  • Highly motivated with a passion for delivering excellence to clients.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to manage a team and control multiple projects/client commissions.
