About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join our dynamic team at the HEAL Global Research Centre for Healthy Environments and Lives at the University of Canberra.

The successful candidate will be involved in conducting independent, cutting-edge research and publishing their findings in top-tier scientific journals. They will also present their work at prestigious academic seminars and international conferences, collaborate with leading researchers and stakeholders globally, and supervise and mentor postgraduate students at the Masters or PhD level.

This fixed-term opportunity is available for up to 3 years and comes with a competitive salary range and additional benefits. What You'll Do

  • Conduct advanced research in environmental health, climate change, and air quality modeling.
  • Publish research findings in reputable scientific journals.
  • Present research at international conferences and seminars.
  • Collaborate with global stakeholders and researchers.
  • Supervise postgraduate students.

What We're Looking For

  • A PhD in environmental health, environmental epidemiology, climate or atmospheric modeling, life cycle analysis or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in environmental health and/or climate change research.
  • A strong track record of securing competitive external funding.
  • Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to meet project deadlines.
  • Outstanding communication skills in English.
