Job Opportunity

A highly engaged and collaborative workforce is required to help people live healthy and fulfilled lives. This role involves working with a diverse group of professionals who manage the refurbishment, redevelopment and infrastructure replacement activities across the organisation.

The Capital Works team consists of designers, architects, engineers and nurses who work together from project inception to completion. We are looking for an individual to drive quality and consistency through our projects by evaluating and selecting appropriate fittings, fixtures, materials, furniture and equipment.

This will involve collaborating with external consultants, suppliers and manufacturers to ensure that products used are fit for purpose, tested, reviewed, and consolidated into the design guide.

You will assist project managers to deliver their projects by coordinating delivery, installation and commissioning activities. Additionally, you will ensure that project documentation provided by architectural consultants are consistent with the requirements of the Health Facility Guidelines.

Furthermore, you will be responsible for testing new projects and developing a test, review and evaluation programme.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and select appropriate fittings, fixtures, materials, furniture and equipment for our projects
  • Collaborate with external consultants, suppliers and manufacturers to ensure product suitability
  • Assist project managers to deliver projects by coordinating delivery, installation and commissioning activities
  • Ensure project documentation is consistent with Health Facility Guidelines
  • Test and develop a test, review and evaluation programme for new projects

Requirements:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Relevant interior design qualifications or experience (but not essential)
  • Excellent logistics experience
  • Desire to work in the health environment
  • Desire to work with a team of like-minded professionals dedicated to delivering improved outcomes in the built environment
