About the Role

This is an exciting time for Macquarie's Financial Risk Technology Team as we embark on a Credit Risk Transformation program.

We are looking for a talented Full Stack Engineer to help us build a new system to support all core Credit Risk activities.

The successful candidate will work in a multi-talented, diverse team across multiple geographical locations and implement solutions in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Building out API first services with a focus on scale, security, and robustness
  • Designing and implementing high-quality products that are thoroughly tested and cater to a world-class user experience
  • Contributing to the ongoing evolution of our platform design and tool chain
  • Providing maintenance and enhancements to the existing code base
  • Building automated testing as part of end-to-end delivery

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in front-end and back-end Full Stack development
  • Experience in either React, Node JS, Typescript, Java, or HTML
  • Experience and knowledge in at least two programming languages, either Java, Python, or JavaScript
  • Ability to work in an agile environment
  • Understanding of microservices architecture (API design, principles of microservices)
  • Understanding of Docker and containerization is an advantage
