Job Summary

The Financial Operations Specialist will play a critical role in managing daily accounting tasks, bookkeeping, financial reporting, and maintaining accurate financial records. Collaborating closely with the CFO and Financial Controller, this position will contribute to month-end closings, reconcile accounts, support audits, and provide financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and accounting standards while recording daily financial transactions.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts regularly to guarantee financial accuracy.
  • Process invoices, payments, and receipts, and follow up on outstanding invoices with clients and vendors as necessary.
  • Manage employee expense reports, verifying and categorizing expenses for accurate financial reporting.
  • Support monthly and yearly financial close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliation.
  • Assist in preparing financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements under the guidance of senior accountants.
  • Help gather documentation and data needed for audits and assist in responding to auditor inquiries.
  • Enter financial data into the accounting system and conduct routine reviews to identify discrepancies.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferably in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in Xero, QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and general ledger functions.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a high level of accuracy in data entry and recordkeeping.
  • Ability to identify discrepancies and work methodically through issues.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills to work effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.
What We Offer

This role comes with a competitive salary of approximately $60,000 - $70,000 per annum, depending on experience. With a Monday to Thursday schedule and 3-4 days in our new offices in Green Square, you'll enjoy a great work-life balance.
