We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic and innovative team at Coles Group. As a key member of our Technology team, you will play a pivotal role in the front-end development efforts, designing and implementing robust front-end architectures, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, user-friendly web applications.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement complex web applications using JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and GraphQL.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate UI/UX designs into responsive interfaces, optimize application performance, and mentor junior developers to uphold coding standards and best practices.
- Lead the engineering of Progressive Web Applications (PWA), ensuring a seamless and engaging user experience across all devices.
- Implement and optimize GraphQL APIs for efficient data querying and integration with frontend applications.
- Participate in architectural discussions and decisions to enhance the overall frontend engineering architecture.
- 5+ years of professional experience in front-end development, demonstrating proficiency in designing and implementing complex web applications.
- Expert-level proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Extensive experience with React and, and a strong understanding of their ecosystems.
- Strong proficiency with GraphQL and experience in integrating it with frontend applications.
- Demonstrated expertise in building and optimizing Progressive Web Applications (PWA).
- Strong general understanding of frontend engineering, including responsive design, browser behaviour, and cross-platform compatibility.
- Experience with state management libraries (e.g., Redux, Vuex)
- Solid understanding of version control systems, particularly Git.
- Experience with backend technologies and understanding of full-stack engineering.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of modern testing frameworks and tools (e.g., Jest, Cypress).
