About the Centre

This state-of-the-art aquatic facility provides a wide range of amenities, including pools, gyms, group fitness rooms, and spa facilities.

About the Role

As a Swim Teacher, you will design and deliver lesson plans that promote swimming skill building in school-aged children. You will structure lessons with engaging activities that challenge and develop your students' swimming and water safety abilities.

You will also assess student progress and recommend level progression as appropriate, teach effective problem-solving skills and conflict resolution techniques. This is a casual role with an hourly rate starting at $31 + super.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will need to be enthusiastic about inspiring and developing water safety and swimming skills in children and young people. Experience in other teaching or coaching roles is beneficial, but not necessary. Key personal attributes include patience, respect, and a passion for teaching.

In this role, you will make a difference in the lives of children and young people by unlocking their potential through swimming. You will demonstrate a commitment to excellent customer service, motivation, and a high standard of performance.

Essential Qualifications

- HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
- Accredited Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety (AUSTSWIM or equivalent)

- HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
- Teacher of Infants and Preschool Aquatics
- Teacher Developing Competitive Strokes or equivalent
- Teacher of Aquatics - Access and Inclusion
