Business Accountancy Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Accountancy Specialist to support the financial performance and reporting of key projects within our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for projects, including variance and trend analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Oversee the collection and processing of inputs to the monthly reporting process, including accruals, transfer journals, scope changes, forecasts, and budgets.
  • Regularly review areas of major expenditure and variances to budget, providing reconciliations and improvement suggestions to relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide accounting and transactional support to finance managers and project leaders.
  • Support commitment data and requests to enable effective management of projects and associated tracking of expenditure/forecasts.
  • Evaluate code establishment for consistency with the reporting hierarchy and organizational expenditure classification policy.
  • Assist finance managers in managing asset capitalizations through completion of necessary forms, creation of asset register details, and liaison with the Corporate Accounting Team.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and strong interpersonal abilities. Key traits include financial acumen, attention to detail, problem-solving, and effective collaboration.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • High levels of financial acumen and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

  • Proficiency in MS Office and/or similar software applications.
