  • Exercise discretion and confidentiality when handling patient information, adhering to strict confidentiality policies and procedures.
  • Examine patients and provide expert advice on eye care, including diagnosing sight problems and prescribing corrective measures.
  • Perform routine eye inspections and maintain accurate records of patient data.
  • Prescribe and dispense glasses and contact lenses, ensuring accurate prescriptions and proper fitting.
  • Follow proper Optical Centre and general safety policies, procedures, and standards to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Assist in other departments of the warehouse as needed, providing support and contributing to the overall success of the business.
  • Provide prompt and courteous customer service to members, employees, and suppliers, ensuring a positive experience for all.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Optometry (as required by state) and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency/Optometry Board of Australia.
  • Certificate IV Optical Dispensing and relevant industry experience.
  • Strong customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Basic knowledge of Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and basic math skills.
