Job Title: Full-Time Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our team at HealthcareLink in Darwin. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality Occupational Therapy services to NDIS participants and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver generalist and specialist Occupational Therapy services through timely and culturally appropriate interventions to facilitate optimal health outcomes.
  • Utilize information systems and maintain relevant statistics to facilitate effective service delivery.
  • Continuously develop your skills and knowledge through research and evidence-based concepts, as well as mentoring undergraduate students.
  • Work collaboratively with a small team to plan, develop, and implement services with a focus on customer-focused continuous quality improvement.
  • Liaise with community and health service providers in the region to ensure seamless service delivery.
Essential Criteria:
  • Degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent, with eligibility to register with AHPRA and the Australian Occupational Therapy Association.
  • Proven ability to assess and implement clinical interventions in generalist and specialist disability caseloads, in accordance with Occupational Therapy practice standards and Code of Ethics.
  • Experience in using personal computer programs and databases.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated awareness of multicultural issues and their impact on clinical practice, with the ability to interact effectively with people from diverse cultures.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement Continuous Quality Improvement strategies and adhere to Occupational Health and Safety and Equal Opportunity Standards.
  • A current NT driver's licence or the ability to obtain.
  • Experience in report writing (desirable).
  • Willingness to travel to remote communities (desirable).
