Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead our Regional Emergency and Critical Care Systems Initiative (RECSI) program.

This is a complex, multi-stream program that aims to enhance emergency and critical care provision in Timor Leste, Papua New Guinea, and Fiji.

As the RECSI Program Manager, you will oversee the implementation of the program, ensuring adherence to project budgets, timelines, governance, and program requirements.

You will work closely with the RECSI Clinical Leads for Critical Care and Emergency Care, reporting to the RECSI Governance Committee.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project planning and management: design, develop, and coordinate project plans, briefings, reports, and presentations that align with RECSI objectives.
  • Stakeholder engagement: cultivate and maintain relationships with partner organizations, in-country providers, clinicians, and staff.
  • Financial oversight and control: prepare and review budgets for project-related costs, monitor expenditures, and ensure compliance with financial guidelines.
  • Monitoring, evaluation, and learning: coordinate activities with advisors and partners to meet contractual requirements.
  • Content and communication: develop and deliver impactful content to facilitate proactive transparent communication regarding project activities.
  • Reporting and management of documentation: revise and finalize funding proposals, submissions, reports, and sub-contracts with project Committees.
  • Data analysis and quality improvement: collaborate with stakeholders to capture and analyze project data, inform quality improvement initiatives, and ensure adherence to best-practice standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To thrive in this role, you will have:

  • A tertiary qualification in international development, global health, public health, public policy, social sciences, or related disciplines.
  • A minimum of five years' experience in implementing global health, public health, or international development projects with strong project management skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to convey information effectively and manage complex and diverse stakeholders.
  • Cultural competency for working in diverse Low and Middle-Income Countries (LMICs) with the ability to navigate various cultural landscapes.
