About the RoleWe are seeking experienced critical care Registered Nurses to join our passionate and dedicated critical care nursing team at Western Private Hospital. As a Registered Nurse in our Cardiac Unit, you will provide excellent nursing care to our cardiac, CCU, and HDU patients. You will work on the combined services Marion Ward, which has 26 beds and provides care for all overnight patients, elective cardiac, medical, and elective surgical patients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality nursing care to cardiac patients, including those in CCU and HDU
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure excellent patient outcomes
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients
- Monitor and manage patient conditions, including cardiac rhythms and medications
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety
- Current AHPRA Registration, RN Division 1
- At least 3 years' experience working in Coronary Care, Cardiology, HDU, or Cardiothoracics
- Graduate Certificate in Critical Care Nursing
- Good rhythm interpretation skills and a sound understanding of cardiac patient care
- Refined critical thinking and lateral problem-solving ability
- Strong clinical skillset with proven experience in an acute-care setting
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a small team
- Exceptional communication skills to work with doctors and ensure best practice and patient outcomes
